Here’s A Faith-Filled Reflection on Care, Consistency, and Grace
For a long time, my skin reflected how I felt inside: inconsistent, unpredictable, and always needing correction lol I have combination skin, and if you know, you know. One area is dry, another is oily, and the rest is just doing its own thing. I tried to manage it the way I tried to manage life: fixing one problem at a time, hoping everything would eventually line up.
It rarely did.
When Fenty Skin launched, I wasn’t rushing to try it. I’m not a fan of many celebrities or the hype, and I’ve learned to be cautious with skincare trends. But my daughter kept raving about this skincare, so over time, and with prayerful patience, I decided to try it. Not because of who created it, but because I needed something gentle, consistent, and balanced. With my baby girl backing it, her skin was glowing!
2 Words! Let’s Go!
I’ve been using Fenty Skin since the brand first dropped, and slowly, my skin began to change for the better. Of course, not dramatically overnight, but steadily and consistently. And that’s what mattered to me.

What I noticed most was how even my skin tone had become. My skin stopped feeling like it was at war with itself. The dry areas softened. The oily areas matted out. My complexion began to look more unified, more rested, more whole. It reminded me of how God works in us: not rushed, not loud, but steady and intentional.
Skincare, like faith, requires consistency. You don’t see the fruit immediately, but you trust the process. You show up daily. You nurture instead of punishing. That’s what this routine became for me, a small act of stewardship over what I’ve been given.
I do use Fenty makeup as well, and I enjoy it to the max, but skincare is where this brand truly made an impact on my life. Because if underneath the makeup is not top tier, then you’ve already lost. The skincare didn’t overwhelm me with steps or promises. It allowed my skin to breathe and heal at its own pace.
And I want to say this honestly: you don’t have to be a fan of Rihanna to appreciate Fenty Skin. I’m not here because of celebrity loyalty. I’m here because my skin finally feels balanced and because I value anything that brings peace.
Unapologetic!

-
•Favorites have been known to go out of stock, but you can usually find them at main retailers.
Verdict
Even though I’m not crazy about Rihanna the celebrity, I am crazy about what she put into this skincare line. Fenty Skin took my combo skin from “oh well” to even, and I’m happy! 😃 It’s simple, effective, and real, which is what I want in a routine.
If you’re like me and have tried a million things that never quite hit the sweet spot, this is absolutely worth a look.
Let me know if you want my full morning/night step-by-step routine — I’d be happy to share it!
